Kids In Divorce Situations (KIDS)
Pelleboer Gunnik and colleagues conducted an evaluation study in 2015 by means of an RCT into the school-based, child-oriented prevention program Kids In Divorce Situations (KIDS). They examined 156 children, 131 mothers and 76 fathers of divorced families.

The children were randomly selected at school and divided into an experimental group (80 children) and a control group (76 children). Four measurement moments were performed: a preliminary test, a control test, and two follow-up tests during six months and one year after the end of the KIDS intervention.

This evaluation study showed that the intervention led to a significant reduction in the child's emotional problems and improved communication between the child and the parents.
Effect size ranged from .30 to .63, implying a small to above medium effect.
